Building the right company culture starts with asking the right question, so this June we asked our people: how does it feel to work at Plan B?

Sixty-nine colleagues from across Consultancy, Material Sales, Managed Services and our Bridgend team took the time to give us their honest feedback. This isn’t a box-ticking exercise for us. We run this survey because we know that engaged, supported people who feel valued do better work, and that in turn shapes the quality of service and experience we deliver for our clients.

Teamwork Is Our Biggest Strength

The results gave us plenty to be proud of, and teamwork came out on top. 91% of colleagues told us they enjoy working as part of their team, making it the single strongest result in the entire survey. Comments referred again and again to colleagues helping one another out, supportive working relationships and a genuine sense of pulling together, wherever people are based across the business.

Our People Understand Why the Standards Matter

86% of respondents told us they understand the processes and standards they’re required to work to. This is a particularly important result given how much of our work is safety-critical and operational. It tells us that the ongoing investment into guidance, training and support in this area is working well.

The Majority Are Happy and Find Their Work Meaningful

78% of colleagues said they’re happy working for Plan B, and just as many told us their job is genuinely meaningful. People spoke about the pride they take in supporting colleagues, clients and the communities we work in, and the sense that every day brings something different.

What’s Next

Of course, no survey is all good news, and that’s exactly why we asked. There are areas where we know we can do better, and we now have a clear roadmap for what we’re going to do about it. Building a culture people are proud to be part of is an ongoing job, not a one-off exercise, and we’re committed to listening, acting and sharing what we learn along the way.
